Sometimes it is very adventurous to trace origins of common-place words -

1. Saala - Brother in law - Shyaalah (Sanskrit)
2. Devar - Husband's brother - Dhevarah (Sanskrit)
3. Sasur - Father in law - Shwasurah (Sanskrit)
